Triglav
Iskra Delta, Jugoslavija
- Opis:
Ta vsestranskost mu je omogočala podporo širokega spektra obstoječe programske opreme in vseh glavnih programskih jezikov, vključno s C, Fortran, Pascal, Cobol in Basic. [ENG]: The Triglav computer, also known as Trident in English, was one of Iskra Delta's top achievements, named after Slovenia's tallest mountain, which has three peaks. Released in 1985, it was praised for its high compatibility and ergonomic design, which earned its designer, Vid Bratasevec, a commemorative stamp. The case was designed for healthy user posture and featured slots for pens and 5.25'' floppy disks on the sides. The computer supported three separate architectures: Intel 80286, Motorola 68010, and DEC J11. With these processors, it could run all the prominent operating systems of the time: CP/M, MS-DOS, CONCURRENT-DOS, UNIX, XENIX, and DELTA-M. This versatility allowed it to support a wide range of existing software and all major programming languages, including C, Fortran, Pascal, Cobol, and Basic. Triglav's DELTA-M operating system was a modified version of the RSX-11 OS used on the famous American PDP-11 computers in the 1970s. The Triglav featured a graphical module capable of a 1024 x 1024 resolution, with each dot colorable from a palette of 16 colors chosen from 256 options. Text was saved separately, and characters could be displayed in eight different colors. The Triglav computer made an appearance in the famous Slovenian movie "A Summer in a Sea Shell" (1985), where it was nicknamed "Vedi" (meaning Smartie) and endowed with fictional powers. In the film, it was imbued with a form of artificial intelligence, aiding the main character in facing and overcoming local gangs.
